Immortality
The nine planes of existence
Passage...
Once a human passes from the mortal plane they are met once again with their furry companions in the transition plane. This plane is the shortest out of the nine as it quickly precedes into the remembrance plane where the human witnesses all they have done within their mortal lives with their cat guide by their side.
Naturally from here the human grieves their life as their existence has forever changed from their physical to their metaphysical selves. Just as in life, the cat companions stay by their side until their cycle of grief closes and the feline leads the human into the next few planes. And so it follows, from grief to acceptance, repentance to destruction and from creation to immortality.
The final choice...
This for many is the final plane, where humans have the choice to live forever free of pain, sorrow and hardship in whatever moral paradise they can imagine. An easy choice for many, but there lies a second, equally as noble, choice. Rebirth, not as a human, but as a cat.
